Final Fantasy XII – Stages 61-70

The secound round of the Trial Mode’s ‘hardest parts’ features Disease-inflicting enemies as well as requirements for elemental weapons and spells. Near the end of the stages, there are two items you should already have ready: Ribbons and, if there are no Ribbons, Remedies.

Tips for Beating Enemies

The Baknamy fights here reminds one of all the battles against Jellies and similar creatures in the early stages of Trial Mode. Make sure to equip strong armor against them. Have your hard-hitters front your party, keep up your healing, and you’ll be fine.

Tips for Beating Enemies

Nothing special out of this stage except for a chance to steal the Zodiac Spear from the Biding Mantis. If you want to beat the stage, take out the Vorpal Bunny as soon as you can. The Vampyrs are nothing to shake about, but the Biding Mantis offers just a bit of resistance.

Fortunately, all enemies here are weak to the element Holy; using weapons and spells with this element will be a big advantage for your party.

Tips for Beating Enemies

You should approach the battle with a mind to leave one bunny alone for the moment: the Fury. If you decide on focusing on this bunny, you should have a party that can finish it with a few swings of their weapon.

The Fury’s elemental weakness is Water, so take note to use spells like Aqua and Water-infused weapons. As when you fought the Fury as a boss, you should Dispel its Berserk as soon as it casts this for an easier time.

Tips for Beating Enemies

Have your party equipped with Wind- and Earth-infused weapons. Vyraal should fall quickly when you use Aero or Wind-infused weapon on it. It is recommended to take these two down as quickly as possible to save yourself the hassle of having to deal with Remedies for Confuse and Disease

Tips for Beating Enemies

In this stage, Exodus sets an Item Usage Restriction field. It is also fond of casting Reflect on itself, but it’s still the same-trick pony you’ve faced off when you were hunting optional Espers–it is still hilariously slow. A simple Haste/Hastega-Slow/Slowga combination will take it out and its minions even before it can cast any spell or attack of value.

Tips for Beating Enemies

This is actually one of two stages where you face off against Malboros. Ribbons will make these battles easy, but if you don’t have them, ready your White Mage’s Esuna spell as well as curative items. Taking out the Malboros quickly shouldn’t be hard if you have Aeroga in your Magicks inventory. Wind-infused weapons will also be highly effective.

Tips for Beating Enemies

This is the second of two stages featuring the nasty, negative status-inflicting Malboros. This one features the boss Carrot as well as Vivians, but the fact that they’re weak to Holy-element attacks should be a good thing if you have a Holy Lance; even better when you have the Excalibur. Remember to use Ribbons or curative items and spells to counter the negative status effects of the Malboros.
